Sweet home, Bakersfield

I'm back! The STL was great. Saw the fam. All is well. The mommy person enjoyed her birthday and my surprise visit. My Arkansas family was in the house (and felt the need to tell me I'd gained weight since I'd seen them last, but alas, this is my family. No "how's California?" just, "I see you've gained some weight." I'm like, thanks. Really needed to hear that.)

Family history of obesity aside, it was nice to see everyone.
