DAMMIT JANET!
They've extended the Rocky Horror Show! (Surprise, surprise.)
Did you read my review where I told you to "go, go to see this show?" Did you not "go, go?" Do you not listen!?! I told you to go already! Go again! Bring a friend! Then go again to ...
RICHARD O'BRIEN'S ROCKY HORROR SHOW! (Did I mention that I liked it?) I love it when a local theater has a hit on their hands. It's fun. And I like happiness. Everyone's all singing and dancing and profane and having a good time and a theater gets some much needed love and business and Bakersfield gets some much needed fun and theater. Let's do this more often. Let's do the "Time Warp" again ...

Thanks Danielle, for spreading the word that we've added 4 encore performances. We are thrilled (and relieved) at our sold out audiences...and the shows just keep getting funner and funner and wilder and wilder !!! Everyone make sure to make reservations and get your Hot-Patootie's there early so you don't miss out.

Thanks for the publicity. Even us older 40-something codgers are having a blast with it...makes me feel like I'm in my 20's again.
Rock on.....!

Babe, you missed it! Someone had the nerve to go to a sold out midnight show, then refuse to stand for Time Warp. But have no fear, I gave him his kamuffins!

Oh yes, I watched from the back of the house and I felt a bit sorry for the guy. But, he did come to a midnight show with one of our wildest crowds (and best shows) ever, and didn't stand up for the Time Warp, so I suppose he asked for it. I wonder what it feels like to be cussed out by 12 Rocky Horror cast members simultaneously? Today, there is one poor soul in Bakersfield who found out the hard way!

Let's not forget that the Midnight show saw the return of "Topless Girl," who ironically won the costume contest while having the least amount of costume.
Now why can't we get more audience members with such dedication? Actually, I should specify, more 'female' audience members with such dedication...

I should also relay the Denny's story following the Midnight show. Louie(AKA Rocky) was still wearing his floor show costume and a t-shirt, when a woman came up and wanted a picture. Further, she wanted him in his famous bent-over position. We figured she must have been at the show, but weren't sure.
Louie went over and was talking to them a bit later, and I joined in a bit after that. Strangely enough, they didn't see the show. They didn't even know that theatre existed in Bakersfield, even living here for 30 years! So, we talked, I hyped up Bakersfield theatre, and it sounds like they'll be coming to see the show! It's always great to introduce new people to our town's theatre, and this show has certainly been bringing in new audiences! Huzzah!

Sorry I missed the midnight show but I was pooped, guys. Totally pooped. Glad you all had fun -- giddy, transvetite, topless fun.

No problem, Danielle. I heard you were exhausted and we can all understand that. Being fabulous isn't easy. :)
