Big, The Musical
Saw "Big, The Musical" last weekend. You'll read the review in tomorrow's Californian. I'll be honest, I thought the score and lyrics were abysmal, but the performances were very good. It's just one of those "can-I-seperate-my-hatred-of-the-material-from-the-actual-performance" situations I hate to be in, but sometimes happen when you review plays from time to time. Like how I hate Andrew Lloyd Webber. One note and I'm ready to assasinate people. (Accept for JC Superstar, which, to me, is his only good musical ...)
It was hard folks. I really hated that score. I mean, I don't mind a kid show, don't get me wrong. I sometimes love a kid show. But ... well, that score. That score ...
What did you guys think? Maybe I'm on crack. Maybe that score was good. Convince me it was good, Bakerinos!
